Dyana's father is a tailor in Hackney. All outer clothes are made to measure by a tailor, so anyone who can afford to buy new clothes at all needs to get them made by a tailor. She is a much-loved only child, and she and her mother and father all work together on the sewing of the clothes. She is always beautifully dressed and first with any new fashion - when the family go together to church on Sundays, they always get attention.
