Richard Ashebye

Richard travels in company with Blanch Keays and her father. All three were originally from Suffolk, and his parents were evicted when their village was enclosed and the landlord wanted their cottage and garden to add to the land available for grazing sheep. They both died of the sweating sickness last summer while they were in Essex. Richard was ill too, and the Keays looked after him. He is hoping that he might be able to get a proper job round here.
